450D Camera My Love

Today I wanted to review this product very modestly I think the wonderful 450D Camera model. I modestly to circumstances that I approach this field as they are an absolute beginner of photography that I love but that surely is in my opinion is very complex and expensive, especially if done at certain levels. At amateur level, therefore, I will try to illustrate its technical characteristics (forgive any mistakes: p) and will report my personal experience.

My first camera was another Canon, the PowerShot A540 (a small gem) Having found and well, when I decided to make the leap and take a semi-professional I have been loyal to Canon and after endless research I found a deal I could not miss.

In October 2008, on a site of a dealer in San Marino I found this model on sale for 499 euros and then there are my slingshots in collaboration with my boyfriend. The choice proved As Well as the package arrived in 20 days with the car working perfectly. Currently the price is still around between 650-700 euros. The offer was for both the camera body that the basic goal is a 18-55 mm.

STRUCTURE:
Internally it is composed of steel and plastic exterior is simple, but what in my opinion even though the basic structure of the 300D and 350D should not be against him in ergonomic and comfortable to handle.
On the right side of the machine is controlling on / off, the wheel that allows us to choose between:

automatic mode:
P programmed auto mode;
TV mode priority of the times;
AV mode to aperture;
M manual modes;
A-Dep mode that would be a mode in which AF points are used for those near and far.
Then there are 5 preset shooting modes:

portrait
landscape
macro
sports
night
flash off.

Always right and scope of thumb is this button to adjust the ISO from 100 to 1600 but can not be changed in the automatic mode, then obviously there is a button to shoot.

In the middle are the viewfinder, the display and flash.

I find this excellent viewfinder through which you can control all of the settings, including ISO and the display is very large and very well you can see thumbnail images.

The only flaw is perhaps that it is very sensitive, especially during transport. One of the innovations of the machine is the possibility of Live View so you can use as a “viewfinder” display, which I personally greatly simplifies the focus but I never use it because I have to learn the art! : D

On the right side of the display are buttons to access menus and adjust the controls.

On the viewfinder is the flash popup that seems well calibrated, well-reduced red eyes and in automatic mode is activated only when needed (even though I quarrel more often because there is always activated when I want it … but that have prevented me: D).
In front are:

button to activate the flash, one for the auto focus or manual and the activation of the stabilizer.

SOFTWARE:

Through the large display you can control all the most important commands, displayed very clearly and is very easy to correct them.

The software provided by PC 3 programs include:

Digital Photo Professional, which is used to modify and control the raw formats;
ZoomBrowser used for storing and managing photos, present in every product canon;
Photo Stich excellent program that allows the union of overlapping images. He was also shot in power and can create really nice pictures!

PERFORMANCE:

I documented some ‘around, since I have not the experience to make an objective criticism of its performance, as for me leaving the photos are all fantastic:)

But cmq say that the criticisms leveled at this major concern megapixel Canon.

The 12 megapixel sensor, but the basic kit gives the performance below its potential defect is reduced by using more complex objectives, but in any case the result is below expectations.

Another innovation is a 9-point autofocus which allows players to focus even more decentralized.

Another new element is the self-cleaning sensor that allows us to preserve it from dust. There are 3 mechanisms by which it acts: one inside the machine that is based on specific materials that avoid the accumulation of dust, the self-cleaning unit that is activated whenever you turn on or off the machine there is also the possibility of eliminating noise through the program included “Digital Photo Professional.

The 18-55 mm lens is actually quite limited and does not in any way to exploit the qualities of the machine, but for those who like me is starting to chew the SLR is more than good and most importantly, helps to maintain a cost relatively low, as we all know the goals really cost almost as good the car if not more.

The goal will be the next investment when I’ll be so exercised with this:)
We must say to be honest that has a 18-55 mm macros and has hurt the stabilizer, which is essential to our out sharp photos.

A note on the battery consumption because despite the car lot, I must say that it lasts a long time! over 400 shots and still is a notch … really amazing. Charging times are also short!

PERSONAL OPINION:

For those who are beginners like me is a machine a bit ‘difficilina to use, because never use automatic because I learn well all the various settings and then often will not come out picture perfect. … But then when I can bring out a beautiful and a great satisfaction!
I also think that with this kind of machine is essential to have provided good tripod, otherwise you will not get well to exploit its potential, especially for night pictures.

Unfortunately for photography would take much time available and lots of money, which most of us are not and then my progress are slow but the important thing is that we are!
Certainly in the field of SLR is the most simple to use and much different from the professional but for those who love photography a bit ‘more elaborate and must keep costs under control, I would say that is a perfect combination.

If I were to suggest to a friend, well I would absolutely!
