Camera Tripod Mount Screw Size
For a custom camera mount, what is the screw size for the mounting bolt?
I want to mount my digital camera in my school bus…need a custom camera mount…what is the screw size for the thumb screw or knurled knob that attaches a camera to a tripod?
Use a 1/4-20 bolt. Just make sure it isn’t too long since you can easily damage your camera if it is. Actually, I’d try to find a used tripod head to mount the camera on and then attach the head to whatever bracket you devise.
