how do I unlock my SD card on my digital samsung camera?

everytime I try take a video or picture it says card locked… wtf does that mean? and how do I unlock it? Please help me I’d appreciate it

1) take out memory card
2) there should be a little slide butting on the side of the card
3)slide it the opposite way than it is
there should be a little pad lock symbol on there pointing in which dirrection is locked and unlocked
